Every Titan forklift meets or exceeds the environmental regulations set by the United-States and Canada. Each lift truck is assembled using the highest quality parts and materials to ensure they pollute as little as possible.

Titan Forklifts Environmental Regulations

Electric Forklifts

Titan’s line of electric forklifts produces zero emissions and is the most environmentally friendly alternative to Diesel and Gas/LPG forklifts. With long battery lives and impressive power specifications, electric forklifts could be a great add-on to your material handling fleet. Electric forklifts are a favorite for greenhouses, indoor storage facilities, and sensitive environments.

Gas/LPG Forklifts

The engines used in Titan’s Gas/LPG forklifts are defined as Non-Road Large Spark-Ignited Engines developing more than 19kW of power and their emissions are regulated by the following governing bodies:

U.S EPA

Titan Forklifts meets the Non-Road Large Spark-Ignition engine emission regulations for U.S. EPA. This includes emissions levels, a useful life of 7 years / 5,000 hours and an emission warranty period of 3 years / 2,500 hours.

The U.S EPA Nonroad Large Spark-Ignition Engines: Exhaust and Evaporative Emission Standards is available here.

California Air Resources Board (CARB)

Titan Forklifts meets the Off-Road Large Spark-Ignition engine emission regulations for California ARB. This includes emissions levels, a useful life of 7 years / 5,000 hours and an emission warranty period of 3 years / 2,500 hours.

The California Code of Regulations for Off-Road Large Spark-Ignition Engines is available here.

Environment Canada

Large Spark-Ignited engines that develop more than 19 kW of power are not currently regulated in Canada. However, there are plans to amend the regulations in the future.

Diesel Forklifts

The engines used in Titan’s Diesel forklifts are defined as Non-Road Compression-Ignition Engines developing between 19kW and 37 kW of power and their emissions are regulated by the following governing bodies:

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

Titan Forklifts meets the Non-Road Compression-Ignition engine emission regulations for U.S. EPA Tier 4. This includes emissions levels, smoke percentage, a useful life of 7 years / 5,000 hours and an emission warranty period of 5 years / 3,000 hours.

The U.S. EPA Nonroad Compression-Ignition Engines: Exhaust Emission Standards is available here.

California Air Resources Board (CARB)

Titan Forklifts meets the Off-Road Compression-Ignition engine emission regulations for California ARB. This includes emissions levels, smoke percentage, a useful life of 7 years / 5,000 hours and an emission warranty period of 5 years / 3,000 hours.

The California Code of Regulations for Off-Road Compression-Ignition Engines and Equipment is available here.

Environment Canada

Titan Forklifts meets the Off-Road Compression-Ignition engine emission regulations for Environment Canada, which is very similar to U.S. EPA Tier 4. This includes emissions levels, smoke percentage, a useful life of 7 years / 5,000 hours and an emission warranty period of 5 years / 3,000 hours.

The Environment Canada Off-Road Compression-Ignition Engine Emission Regulations is available here.
